What to see and do
'The Capital of the South’ is rapidly growing and is America’s most accessible city. As the home of Martin Luther King Junior, it has a rich and interesting history. And it also gives your customers the chance to immerse themselves in a truly authentic Deep South experience. Alongside its historic Civil Rights roots, this vibrant college city is packed with shopping megamalls, upmarket restaurants, funky bars and spanking new attractions, like the World of Coca-Cola and Georgia Aquarium. It’s fair to say there’s a lot going on in ‘A Town.’
Atlanta is a huge melting pot of different nationalities. So you’ll find an impressive choice of international restaurants to satisfy please any palate. But before you take your pick of some of the tastiest food from around the world, remember that Atlanta’s renowned for its good, old fashioned southern cooking. Think sizzling barbequed ribs at Mary Mac’s, tender southern fried chicken at The Colonnade or fried peach pie at The Varsity, the world’s largest drive in restaurant. So forget your diet and tuck into some traditional soul food favourites.
