Returning to passenger flying this Summer
Last month we returned to the skies as countries around the world start to relax travel restrictions. We are now flying from London Heathrow to Hong Kong, New York JFK, Los Angeles and Barbados. The table below shows the routes that restart throughout August and September. We have some changes since our last communication.
Restart date | Route |
4th August 202 | London Heathrow - Shanghai |
18th August 20 | London Heathrow – Miami |
3rd September 202 | London Heathrow – Delhi |
6th September 2020 | London Heathrow – Tel Aviv |
15th September 2020 | London Heathrow – Atlanta |
21st September 2020 | London Heathrow – Mumbai |
24th September 2020 | London Heathrow - Lagos |
Due to ongoing travel restrictions, we may make further revisions. We will continue to steadily increase passenger flying throughout the second half of 2020, with a further, gradual recovery through 2021 in line with customer demand.
As a reminder, IATA accredited Travel Agents are required to follow IATA standards for Flight Disruption which includes asking each passenger whether they wish to have their contact details provided to Virgin Atlantic, and other airlines in the itinerary, so that we are able to contact them in the event of flight disruption. Customers who choose not to provide their contact details may not receive information relating to flight disruption.
