The latest bulletin from Virgin Atlantic, issued on 27 December 2020:
We are aware that an increasing number of countries around the world are placing travel restrictions on flights originating from the UK. As a result, it has been necessarily to temporarily suspend passenger services to some of our destinations.

Latest Travel Restrictions - Nigeria
The Nigerian Government has released a new protocol detailing enhanced entry requirements for all customers arriving into Nigeria on flights from the United Kingdom and South Africa. This is effective from 29th December and applies to all customers, including those in transit.
Travellers must have tested negative for Covid-19 (a PCR test) within 96 hours of departure and carry evidence of the test and result. Please note the Covid-19 negative test result must have the date and time it was taken clearly shown. Children aged 10 years and younger do not require a PCR test.

Latest Travel Restrictions - USA
From 24 December 2020, we introduced the requirement for all customers flying from London Heathrow to the United States to provide evidence of a negative PCR or LAMP Covid-19 test before they board. Effective 28 December 2020, the US Government is requiring all UK arriving air travellers, including children 2 and over, to present evidence of a PCR or antigen test taken within 72 hours before departure. Note that from 28 December, the US Government requirement will take precedence over the Virgin Atlantic requirement.
