Due to the disruption at London Gatwick airport over 20 and 21 December 2019, a number of Virgin Atlantic aircraft and crew are out of place. As a result Virgin Atlantic have decided to use an alternative ‘wet lease’ aircraft on a small number of services in the coming days to make sure that we can get our customers to their destinations.
The impacted flights are below:
VS105/106 LHR-SEA-LHR 22, 23 Dec Hi Fly A330 12C/313Y
VS 27/28 LGW-MCO-LGW 22, 23, 24 Dec Wamos B747 24C/451Y
A dedicated VS team will contact Travel Agents whose customers are impacted by downgrade as a result of the change in operating carrier. Customers on west lease aircraft will automatically be compensated as a gesture of goodwill dependent on which aircraft they are accommodated on.
