Virgin Atlantic are continuing to steadily increase passenger flying throughout 2020, with a further, gradual recovery through 2021 in line with customer demand. Due to ongoing travel restrictions, there may be further revisions.
Currently Virgin Atlantic are flying to New York JFK, Los Angeles, Miami, Barbados, Delhi, Tel Aviv, Hong Kong, and Shanghai.
The table below shows the routes that restart throughout September.
To avoid possible delay’s or denied boarding it’s important your customers check the latest travel restrictions in place for their destination before they travel to the airport, to ensure they have all they need to travel; including eligibility for entry and screening, and any health declarations they may be need to complete, the most up to date travel advice is on VSwebsite COVID-19 – Travel Restrictions click here
Keeping up to date
Virgin Atlantic want to ensure mutual customers are well informed about their future travel, especially due to the fast paced nature of the challenges we all face, there may be last minute changes to their travel, health requirement and or services onboard and VS ask that all customer contact details are up to date with in the booking in line with IATA Resolution 830d. Flexibility for your customers
As always, the safety and wellbeing of customers and people is always Virgin Atlantic's top priority and VS understands that customers may be uncertain about their upcoming travel plans. Virgin Atlantic want to continue to offer as much flexibility as possible to your customers who may wish to change, and would encourage you to rebook your customers where possible 21 days prior to their original travel date. Refunds
Virgin Atlantic are delighted to be advise that on Monday 14th September VS will revert to GDS automated refunds. VS began the process of rejecting all previously requested refunds on Monday 7 September 2020 and are working through these rejects by application age.
This puts the control back in your hands to re-submit through the GDS. VS do have a significant volume of these to process but rest assured that they have increased resources to do this as quickly as possible.
VS are aware of the small number of customers that have been waiting over 120 days. VS remain focussed on resolving any remaining bookings that fall into this category, and these are being processed as soon as possible. VSbulletin – GDS Refunds
