Virgin Atlantic continue to monitor the ongoing Covid-19 situation very carefully and changing demand for travel. As a result, Virgin Atlantic have decided to make additional changes to their flying programme as part of measures being taken to ensure that the airline is in a robust position for the months ahead.
Virgin Atlantic’s new London Heathrow - São Paulo service, due to commence on 29 March 2020, has been deferred, with services now beginning from 5 October 2020. This change is part of wider measures being taken including the suspension of our Heathrow – Shanghai route, and reduced frequency between Heathrow – Hong Kong. Virgin Atlantic are committed and excited to launch our first route to Brazil and South America in October.
Bookings affected by this change will be updated and can be viewed in your GDS on Sunday 8 March 2020. Virgin Atlantic are offering customers on VS tickets issued by 5 March 2020 options to rebook:
- Travel Dates - 29 March 2020 - 04 October 2020
- Affected Cities - VS/VS* flights to/from/through SAO
