The ultimate Valentine's...
Last Wednesday 14th February, Virgin Atlantic celebrated Valentine’s day in style.
The airline drew 100 mile love heart over the British skies.
‘Honky Tonk Woman’ one of the airlines A330 aircrafts, departed London Gatwick at 11am last Wednesday and mapped out a heart shape as it flew over the South West coast of England. Virgin Atlantic had to make a special request to National Air Traffic Services to fly a heart over British air space – the first time it has been done.
Aviation lovers were able to follow its progress by searching the Flightradar24 app for flight VS850P.
Captain JJ Burrows, Director of Aircraft Operations for Virgin Atlantic said: “We had a training flight planned for February 14th, and when we realised it was Valentine’s Day we decided to have a little fun”.
