VS bulletin COVID-19 London Heathrow to Hong Kong Flying Update - 28 June
28 June 2021
News
Virgin Atlantic
We are aware of the decision by the Government of Hong Kong SAR to designate the UK on its A1 list of “extremely high-risk” countries and introduce a new restriction, which means all passenger flights arriving from the UK will be suspended from 1 July.
In order to comply with the Government of Hong Kong’s updated restrictions, we will temporarily be suspending passenger services to Hong Kong from 30 June until 11 July and operating these as cargo-only, with the extent of this date subject to further review. Flight VS206 from London Heathrow to Hong Kong departing on 29 June will operate as normal. Scheduled passenger flights from Hong Kong to London Heathrow are expected to operate as planned, although please check here regularly for updates and here for specific flight status.
We apologise for the inconvenience caused to our customers affected by these cancellations, as a result of the Hong Kong restrictions. Where a flight is cancelled, customers can rebook their flights for a new travel date all the way until 30 April 2023, convert their booking to an open ticket, or of course request a full cash refund.
Please ensure the latest traveller contact information is available within the booking, so the latest instructions reach the traveller via SMS and email.
