Due to the escalation of conflict in the Middle East, Virgin Atlantic have made the decision to temporarily avoid the airspace of Iraq, resulting in some pre-planned rerouting of their flights.
As a precautionary measure, they have also taken the decision to cancel the below flights:
VS400 - London Heathrow - Dubai - 28 February 2026 and 01 March 2026
VS401 - Dubai - London Heathrow - 01 March 2026 and 02 March 2026
VS242 - London Heathrow - Riyadh - 01 March 2026
VS243 - Riyadh - London Heathrow - 02 March 2026
Virgin Atlantic recommends that all customers who are due to travel to or from Dubai and Riyadh over the next 48 hours check the status of their flight here before going to the airport.
Customers currently in the region are asked to follow local instructions and FCDO advice. Customers in UAE specifically, including Dubai, should register their presence with the UK Government.
Virgin Atlantic will continue to monitor the situation in the Middle East with ongoing dynamic assessments and active changes to their flight routings based on the latest information and guidance, if required. Please check this page for updates.
