Industrial Action at London Heathrow Airport for 10 days - from 31 March until 9 April 2023

Virgin Atlantic have advised that between 31 March and 9 April 2023, industrial action is expected to take place by Unite members employed by Heathrow Airport, including terminal 5 and campus security guards.

London Heathrow Airport will remain open and operational but there will be an impact across the airport. Customers may experience longer wait times at Terminal 3 Security.

Virgin Atlantic has provided a flexible policy for customers departing between 31 March and 02 April 2023, the first three days of the strike, as these are expected to be the busy days and longer wait times at security.

The policy covers the below:
Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines will allow free-of-charge rebooking to whole itinerary, for customers avoiding busy strike days.


This will cover the admin fee and fare difference waived only for customers departing from Heathrow Airport, subject to availability.The new travel dates must be no later than 30 June 2023 and on the same route and cabin class.Ticket sales have been limited for departing flights on the first three days of the strike.
