Various Travel Restrictions UPDATE 4

Due to the ongoing situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) the following Governments have updated their restrictions of entry for foreign visitors who have travelled to China (People’s Rep).

 

Customers due to travel to:

 

  • Antigua or Barbuda who have been to China, in the last 28 days, will not be allowed to travel

 

  • Antiguan nationals are exempt from the restriction however may be subject to quarantine for 14 days on arrival if they have travelled to China (People’s Rep) in the last 28 days

 

  • Montego Bay Jamaica who have been to China (People’s Rep), Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, Italy or Iran in the last 14 days, will not be allowed to travel

 

Jamaican nationals are exempt from the restriction however will be subject to quarantine for 14 days on arrival if they have travelled to China (People’s Rep) in the last 14 days

 

  • Tel Aviv Israel who have been to China, Singapore or Thailand in the last 14 days, will not be allowed to travel.  This restriction does not apply to customers who have only directly transited through China (People’s Rep), Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Thailand. Japan, Korea (Rep.), Italy, Austria, Germany, Spain, France, Switzerland, Iran, Lebanon, Syria or Iran
  • Customers with “The Palestinian Authority" passports and their spouses, residents of the Palestinian Territory or Diplomats who are accredited to Israel will not be exempt and will not be able to enter.

 

  • Israeli nationals and residents are exempt from the restriction however may be subject to quarantine on arrival if they have travelled to China (People’s Rep), Singapore or Thailand in the last 14 days.  This does not apply to passengers with “The Palestinian Authority" passports and their spouses, to residents of the Palestinian Territory or Diplomats who are accredited to Israel

 

  • Mumbai, Delhi India who have been to China (People’s Rep), Iran, Italy, Japan or Korea (Rep.) on or after 15 January 2020, will not be allowed to travel.
  • Visas and e-Visas issued to nationals of Iran, Italy, Japan and Korea (Rep.) on or before 3 March 2020 are invalidated
    • This does not apply to OCI cardholders
  • Visas and e-Visas issued to nationals of China (People’s Rep.) before 5 February 2020 are invalidated
    • This does not apply to OCI cardholders
  • Customers who have been in China (People’s Rep.), Iran, Italy, Japan or Korea (Rep.) on or after 1 February 2020 are not allowed to enter India as Visas and e-Visas are invalidated
    • This does not apply to nationals of India
    • This does not apply to residents in India
    • This does not apply to OCI cardholders
  • Nationals of Japan and Korea (Rep.) can no longer obtain a Visa on arrival

Indian nationals are exempt from the restriction however will be subject to quarantine on arrival if they have travelled to China (People’s Rep)

 

  • St. Lucia who have been to China (People’s Rep), Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Italy or South Korea in the last 14 days, will not be allowed to travel

 

St Lucia nationals are exempt from the restriction however may be subject to quarantine for 14 days on arrival if they have travelled to China (People’s Rep), in the last 14 days

 

  • Grenada who have been to China, in the last 14 days, will not be allowed to travel

 

Grenada nationals and residents are exempt from the restriction however may be subject to quarantine for 14 days on arrival if they have travelled to China (People’s Rep), in the last 14 days

 

  • Trinidad and Tobago who have been to China (People’s Rep), Italy, Iran, Singapore or South Korea in the last 14 days, will not be allowed to travel

 

Trinidad and Tobago nationals and residents are exempt from the restriction however may be subject to quarantine if they have travelled to China (People’s Rep) in the last 14 days

 

  • Hong Kong who have been to China (People’s Rep) in the last 14 days, will not be allowed to travel

 

Hong Kong nationals are exempt from the restriction however will still be subject to quarantine for 14 days on arrival if they have travelled to China (People’s Rep) in the last 14 days

Delhi India (DEL)

Mumbai India (BOM)

Customers who have visited China (People’s Rep.), Iran, Italy, Japan or Korea (Rep.) on or after 01 February 2020.

St. Lucia (UVF)

Customers who have been to China (People’s Rep) Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Italy or South Korea in the 14 days prior to their planned initial entry

Grenada (GND)

Customers who have been to China (People’s Rep) in the 14 days prior to their planned initial entry

Trinidad and Tobago (TAB)

Customers who have been to China (People’s Rep), ), Italy, Iran, Singapore or South Korea in the 14 days prior to their planned initial entry

Hong Kong (HKG)

Customers who have been to China (People’s Rep) in the 14 days prior to their planned initial entry

 

Valid for customers with VS and VS* tickets issued by 5 March 2020.

 

Refund Policy 

 

Effective immediately proof must be provided for customers have travelled to or from the affected areas in China (People’s Rep).

 

  1. Proof of travel

 

  • Copy of passport page including China (People’s Rep) entry and or exit stamps
  • Copy to show dates of entry and or exit from China (People’s Rep) that may be impacted by the above restrictions
  • Proof of travel to be sent to sales.support@fly.virgin.com

i.e.

  • Travelled from China 3 March 2020 – due to travel GND 15 March 2020 – refund permitted upon proof of travel
  • Travelled from China 3 March 2020 – due to travel GND 3 April 2020 – No refund applicable

 

  1. A refund of unused flights, if travel has not commenced:

 

  • Proof of travel to be provided – send to sales.support@fly.virgin.com
  • All refunds will be credited to the original form of payment.
  • Update the SI filed with the following information XXX (destination airport i.e. ANU)

  1. A refund of unused flights, if travel has commenced:
